They help us spread the word about the lifesaving work we do, bring energy and excitement to our fundraising efforts, and offer their time, talents and big hearts to support our mission. Simply put – without our amazing volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to keep our helicopters in the sky, ready to save lives across Yorkshire.
We’re always on the lookout for friendly, passionate, and dependable people to join our volunteer team. Whether you’ve got a few hours a week, a day a month, or just some time here and there throughout the year, there’s a place for you in our YAA family.

Work Experience/Placement Requests
We appreciate that Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a very attractive prospect for those looking for any form of work experience, whether it be on the charity side, in engineering, or with the crew
However, due to the sheer volume of requests we receive, alongside a variety of operation issues, the sensitive nature of many of the roles, and the varying and often inconsistent working patterns our team operates, we are unable to offer any form of work experience/placement within the Charity.
