Mount St John Garden Open Day

May 17 @ 10:00 – 16:00
The Mount St John Garden Open Day will take place on Saturday, 17th May 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Mount St John Estate. Nestled within the picturesque Vale of York, the estate offers breathtaking 40-mile views, including a direct line of sight to York Minster. The 12-acre estate boasts stunning gardens that seamlessly blend with the surrounding landscape. Designed by the celebrated Tom Stuart-Smith OBE, a nine-time Chelsea Gold Medal winner, the gardens feature Victorian kitchen and cut flower gardens, ornamental water features, and beautifully manicured lawns.
During the event, visitors can enjoy live demonstrations from Yorkshire artist Anita Bowerman, friend of YAA, who will showcase how she blends colour and detail to create her stunning landscape paintings. Phil Bradley will also offer Willow Weaving demonstrations using willow grown on the Mount St John Estate.
As the garden is not usually open to the public, this is a rare chance to explore its beauty. Tickets are limited, so we encourage early booking to avoid disappointment.
