Hike4Helis – Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

September 6 @ 06:00 18:00

3 Peaks, 25 miles, 12 hours – Take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to help raise vital funds for YAA!

As part of this years Hike4Helis we’re holding our first ever YAA Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and we would love for you to join us.

Immerse yourself in some of the finest views in the Yorkshire Dales and make your way around the 25-mile route with a dedicated guide.

Starting from Horton-in-Ribblesdale, with Ingleborough (723m/2,372ft) as the first peak, we will then head for Whernside (736m/2,415ft), before making the journey over to Pen-y-Ghent (694/2,277ft).

The jaw-dropping Ribblehead viaduct marks the halfway point on this route and is a fantastic place to stop and take a breather.

This is a fantastic and tough 12-hour walk that’s perfectly achievable for walkers with a reasonable level of fitness and some determination. Most of the route is on mountain paths and lowland tracks, with one section of road walking. There are steep sections and steps on each of the hills.

We will be joined by qualified and experienced guides, with one guide for every 10 participants, and extra guides where necessary.

Participants must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the event, and those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

On the day:

We will meet in Horton-in-Ribblesdale at 6:30 am

There will be a safety briefing, before we head on our way to take on the challenge!

The walk will take around 12 hours.

There will be small snacks and water provided at various points along the route. Participants will need to bring their own food.
