This is where it all began.

Today, the event has grown to become the highlight of the city’s running calendar; a hugely popular, inclusive and superbly supported race for participants of all abilities.

Throughout the route that takes in many of the city’s historic landmarks, crowds come out in force. A fantastic atmosphere and friendly volunteers make the event unforgettable for all.

Entrants must be 15 years of age or over on event day.

Event timings:

07:30 Race office, baggage store and assembly open

08:45 Runners to make their way to their assembly zone

09:15 Red and Blue warm up

09:28 Wheelchair race starts

09:00 Red and Blue runners start race

09:40 Green warm up

Running in headphones is permitted. However, it is vital you can still hear marshals’ instructions, emergency vehicles, and fellow competitors throughout the event, so please set your volume accordingly.
