Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Well, North Yorkshire
Our Nostell-based aircraft and crew were despatched at 1:25 pm to assist with a patient who was having issues with the pacemaker. They had a low heart rate and were located in a remote location. On our crew’s arrival the patient had become more stable and was transported to hospital via road ambulance after our crew had provided support at the scene.

Our crew from Nostell were called to Sneaton near Whitby at 5:55 pm on Saturday 3rd August 2024 to a person who had fallen and been run over by a tractor. After treatment at the scene they flew the patient to hospital.

At 12:44 pm on Friday 2nd August 2024, air aircraft and crew based at RAF Topcliffe were called to assist a person who had fallen from height. Our crew provided support at the scene before the patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

At 3:58 pm on Friday 2nd August 2024 our Topcliffe-based aircraft and crew were called to a road traffic collision involving a bike and a car. They offered support and treatment at the scene before travelling with one patient to hospital in the road ambulance.
