Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Flinton, Near Hull
Our crew, based at Nostell, and operations aircraft G-YAAA were called to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike in Flinton, near Hull at 09.33 AM on Friday, 9th May 2025. They treated the person at the scene before flying them to hospital. Sadly, the patient died during transit.

Our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA were called at 7:33 PM on Thursday, 8th May 2025, to reports of a person drowning in Scarborough. They provided treatment at the scene before travelling with the patient in a road ambulance, to enable ongoing care on the way to hospital.

At 2:28 PM on Thursday, 8th May 2025, our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called to two people involved in a road traffic collision near Bedale in North Yorkshire. They provided support on-scene before those involved were transported to hospital via road ambulance for ongoing treatment.

At 2:11 PM on Thursday, 8th May 2025, our Nostell-based crew and aircraft G-YAAA attended a road traffic accident involving a motorcyclist near Rawmarsh, Doncaster. Despite every effort made, the motorcyclist sadly passed away at the scene.

Our Topcliffe-based crew and operational aircraft G-YAIR were called to a person suffering a cardiac arrest near Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, at 8:08 AM on Thursday, 8th May 2025. Our crew provided treatment at the scene before travelling with the patient to hospital in the road ambulance to provide ongoing care on the journey.
