Introducing Jane Horrod, one of our friendly North Yorkshire Community Fundraisers at Yorkshire Air Ambulance. With a wealth of experience as a journalist and in the public relations industry, Jane joined our charity in September 2022, bringing her expertise and boundless enthusiasm to the team. Day in and day out, you can find Jane immersed in a whirlwind of fundraising activities, from organising and attending events to hosting talks, working alongside our incredible volunteers, arranging bucket collections, and ensuring our collection tins from local businesses are well taken care of.
When asked why she is passionate about her role, Jane said, “What I adore about our role is that no two days are ever the same, and that’s what keeps me motivated. The most inspiring moments come when I have the privilege of meeting the very people we have airlifted and hearing their personal stories. It’s a constant reminder of why we do what we do.”
Beyond her dedication to fundraising, Jane enjoys spending time with her four children and seven granddaughters. Outside of her cherished family time, Jane is also a passionate cook and gardener.
An interesting fact about Jane is that she has previously spent 13 years living in Southwest France, where she embarked on incredible journeys throughout Europe in a camper van.
