Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Leeds
At 09.59am our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to an elderly patient who had fallen and sustained a head injury in Leeds. Sadly, despite the best efforts of those on scene, the patient passed away.

At 12.34pm our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to a patient who had fallen from a ladder on to a fence in Knaresborough. Our Critical Care Team treated the patient and travelled with him in the road ambulance to the nearest major trauma centre for further treatment.

At 15.43 our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to an elderly cyclist suffering a cardiac arrest in Rotherham. Sadly, despite the best efforts of those on scene, the patient passed away.

At 16.35 our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a motocross incident in Selby where a rider had fallen from his bike. Our Critical Care Team were first on scene and provided on scene support. The patient, who sustained minor injuries was taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.
