Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

York
At 15.58 our Nostell aircaft was dispatched to an incident where an elderly gentleman had fallen from a ladder in York. Our Critical Care Team treated the patient and travelled with him in the road ambulance to the nearest hospital for further treatment.

At 16.27 our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to a road traffic collision in Whitby. Our Critical Care Team treated two patients and travelled with one of the patients in the road ambulance to the nearest hospital for further treatment.

Sandbach
At 19.55 we recieved an out of area request from the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a patient with burns and scalding. Our Nostell aircraft was dispatched and our Critical Care Team treated one patient, who was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Doncaster
At 14.27 our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a road traffic collision in Doncaster. Three patients were treated and our Critical Care Paramedics accompanied one of the patients in the road ambulance to the nearest major trauma centre for further treatment.

At 16.42 our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to an incident in Bradford where a child was stood on by a horse. Our Critical Care Team assessed the patient and she was flown to the nearest major trauma centre for further treatment.

At 11.27am our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a motocross incident involving a child in Selby. The patient sustained a limb fracture and was flown to the nearest major trauma centre for further treatment.

At 11.31am our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a road traffic collision in Wetherby on the A1 where a patient was unconcious. Our Critical Care Team provided on scene support and a male was taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.

At 12.30pm our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to a motocross incident in Doncaster, where a patient sustained a chest injury. Our Critical Care team provided on scene support and he was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

At 10.45am G-YAAC was dispatched to an incident where a young adult had fallen from a ladder in Barnsley. Our Critical Care Team provided on scene support and the patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.

At 11.23am G-YAAC was dispatched to a patient who sustained burns to the legs in Doncaster. Our Critical Care Team asessed the patient and travelled with him in the road ambulance to the nearest hospital.

At 11.36am our Topcliffe aircraft was dispatched to a motorcylist who had fallen over a 12ft bridge in Ripon. Our Critical Care Team provided on scene support and the patient, who sustained a chest injury, was taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.

Goole
At 12.33pm our Nostell aircraft was dispatched to a mental health related incident in Goole. Sadly, despite the best efforts of those on scene, the patient passed away.
