Incident round up
Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

At 19:43 our aircraft and crew based at Nostell were called to a person who had fallen from a horse. They offered support at the scene before the patient was taken to hospital via land ambulance.

At 07:47 our Nostell aircraft and crew were called to reports of a person in the water. Sadly the person passed away.

At 08:00 the aircraft and crew from our Nostell Air Support Unit were called to a stabbing. The patient required blood, which was administored by our crew, who then accompanied the patient to Northern General Hospital via road ambulance.

At 18:25 the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance requested our assistance at a road traffic accident involving a quad bike. The aircraft and crew attending from our Nostell Air Support Unit offered on-scene support before transferring the patient to hospital by air.

At 10:31 the aircraft and crew from our Nostell Air Support Unit were called to a patient near Selby who was suffering a suspected heart attack. This was confirmed by our crew on scene, who provided treatment before transferring the patient by air to Leeds General Infirmary.

Our Topcliffe-based aircraft and crew were called at 10:34 to a road traffic accident involving a motorcyclist. Our crew offered support on scene before the motorcyclist was taken to hospital via road ambulance.

At 20:37 our aircraft and crew from Nostell were called to a person who had fallen down the stairs. Our crew provided support at the scene and travelled with the patient, in the road ambulance, to Northern General Hospital.

At 10:13 our Topcliffe aircraft and crew were called to a patient who had fallen from a horse. We provided support on scene, before the patient was taken to hospital in the land ambulance.

At 14:46, our Topcliffe aircraft and crew were called to a road traffic accident near York. Our Nostell aircraft also attended to bring a Doctor to the scene. Our crew provided treatment at the scene before our Nostell aircraft and crew flew the patient to Hull Royal Infirmary.
