Many believe the government funds Yorkshire Air Ambulance and that we fall under the NHS. This is untrue; a vital part of Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s operation depends on the generosity of the public and organisations.
We are integrating a new system for our team to record call-outs. We are now adding incident reports again, recording recent incidents whilst also returning and adding incidents from previous months. This may take some time to update fully, so please bear with us.

Leeds
Our Nostell crew and aircraft were despatched at 13:07, to a patient who had fallen from a ladder. We provided support at the scene before returning to our Nostell Air Support Unit.

At 13:43 our Topcliffe crew and aircraft were despatched to a young person who had fallen from their mountain bike and broken their collar bone. Our crew assisted at the scene before the patient was transported to hospital by their guardian.

At 10:24 am on Tuesday 19th March 2024, our Topcliffe crew and aircraft were despatched to a patient in Hambleton, with a hand injury. They provided support on the scene before the patient was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

At 12:47 pm on Tuesday 19th March 2024, Our Topcliffe crew were called to a patient who had fallen in Craven and suffered an ankle injury. They provided support before the patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

At 13:42 on Tuesday 19th March 2024, our Nostell aircraft and crew were called to Burley Moor, near Bradford to assist the road ambulance crew and Mountain Rescue Team who were with a patient complaining of chest pain. Our crew provided support at the scene before the patient was taken to hospital by the road ambulance crew.

At 14:20 on Monday 18th March 2024 our Topcliffe aircraft and crew were called to Scarborough to a patient with an ankle injury. The provided support at the scene and relocated the patient to the road ambulance, which subsequently transported them to hospital.
